Hearing Aids

Hearing technology has come in leaps and bounds in recent years, and for anyone exploring the options out there, the number of styles and options can be a little overwhelming. But it’s important to remember that there is a device that will work for you, whatever your budget and lifestyle needs. Here at Independence Hearing, we’re excited to help you find yours.

Styles of Hearing Aids

Finding the right hearing aids to meet your needs is important to ensure you get the most beneficial experience. We offer a variety of styles to meet your needs, including:

  • Invisible in canal (IIC): These hearing aids are fitted deeply in the ear to which makes them invisible when worn. They are best for those with mild to moderate hearing loss.
  • Completely in canal (CIC): Similar to the invisible hearing aid, these are a very discreet style for those with mild and moderate hearing loss.
  • In the canal (ITC): This type boasts external controls and a fit that allows you to wear glasses. Only a small proportion of the device will be visible.
  • In the ear (ITE): This custom-molded style is very comfortable and ideal for those with mild to severe hearing loss.
  • Receiver-in-canal (RIC): One of our most popular styles, this style strikes a great balance between features and size.
  • Behind the ear (BTE): These are worn behind the ear with a slim tube leading to a receiver in the ear. They are one of the most feature-rich styles and suitable for some of the most severe hearing losses.
  • BTE with earmolds: This style is similar to the BTE style but with an added earmold, which helps improve the listening experience.
  • Mini BTE with slim tube and tip: This offers the same build and similar features to the BTE models but in a smaller package.
